This is a varient of the first pic using Hulk and Wolvie busts to recreate their battle in the woods at the lake. The combined pic was then run through my ‘sloppy painting’ process to give the effect you see and I added the logos. I prefer this version to the first one, but what do you think?
Another in my series of manips using busts as the basis for the picture. This is the first version of a pic using Hulk and Wolvie busts to recreate their battle in the woods, this time beside a lake. The hulk model is pretty much untouched other than altering the angle a bit to give more of a lunge. Wolvie I had to alter the angle of the head so he was looking upward slightly rather than down. The combined pic was then run through my ‘grainy drawing’ process to give the effect you see and I added the logos.
While i was messing about doing my DD Wallpapers for submission to a DCG contest at C2F, I tried out this effect which i ended up not using. The original version i did was in red, because thats how i felt the radar vision would be done. After seeing the movie, I went back and recoloured it..to see what it would look like.
Previously: Well this is one that i have had hanging about incomplete for a looooong time. It started as a black and white photo of body builder Frank Hillebrand. A lot or burning and multiplying and addition of a head made him venom. At this stage I drew a blank as to what background to put it on. Today: I finally got the inspiration (based on my Black Widow pic) to having him towering over a cityscape of New York, so here it is 🙂
Well this is just a quickie concept for an update to Blink I put together in about 30 mins. The base pic is of the bust for the latest Terminator (Terminatrix) recoloured to Blink’s trademark green for the clothing and the pink skin with eye markings. I think it turned out quite nice for such a quick manip.
Continuing on in my current trend of using busts as the basis of manips, here is a fictional cover for a graphic novel featuring Black Widow. I was going for a gritty drawn effect, and i think i got it not too bad. The pic is made up of multiple layers with a city skape and a skull-like cloud formation in the background.
Just a quickie really. After i submitted the Beast pic, I figured I could do the same to classic Angel. Again it was a bust on a rock, found a matching background (The eagle eyed among you may recognise it from an early hulk manip i did). A bit of cutting n blending and a few filters and i had a painty pic. i added the heads up display as though a Sentinel was targeting him – hence the title. The red ‘beam’ through the pic is Cyclops clearing a path through the Sentinel for Angel.

DCG Theme Day – Your own interpretation of other members character. Something about WonderWomanGoddess’s character description appealed to me and so here is my attempt at bringing it to life. I hope you don’t mind I took a couple of liberties 🙂 Original Description: “She’s called Judgment. A near death experience gave her the power to see into a persons soul, to see their most extreme sins and virtues. She’s a vigilante, and uses her power to determine if those who cross her path live or die. Visually, she has red hair, pale skin, green eyes. Her eyes have a supernatural green glow. Her standard outfit is a black or dark green tank top, black mini or pants, and old school black cowboy boots. The only distinguishing feature about her outfit really is her belt buckle, which is a metal pentagram with a green eye in the center of it.
I was looking through some of my old works in progress and found this pic of Diane HeideKruger and it got me to thinking about a concept for Supergirl in a new movie. I tried to bring together the white Supergirl uniform together with the original but give it a movie spin. I dunno if it works.. but i like it 🙂

I submitted the plain colored version of this the other day and thought I might even try my hand at a bit of shading on it. I also took the opportunity to show the front of his shield rather than the reverse. So here it is.. enjoy
I was looking through some old files and came across a sketch for an animated style Cap. I can’t remember where the original idea came from so I’m afraid i can’t credit the original. I decided to do some simple coloring in Paintshop. I think it turned out quite nicely. I might even try my hand at a bit of shading on it.
Well this theme day came around sooner than i expected, and due to an excessive intrusion by work, I have to submit this before i’m totally happy with it. Manipped from a pic of Buster Crabb as Flash Gordon into what a 40s version of Cap and Bucky might look like.
The third piece I submitted for the competition to choose the UK DD Film Fan Wallpaper. After I did the other submissions I wanted to try something a little different.
